Girl R.E.L.A.X. was founded in February 2020 by Angela McKinney, a dedicated wife, mother, and Dallas native with over a decade of experience in child welfare. After earning her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Texas at Tyler and a Master’s in Public Administration from the University of Phoenix, Angela advanced through multiple roles at the Department of Family and Protective Services.
Recognizing the gap in accessible mental health resources for Black communities, Angela created Girl R.E.L.A.X. as an online hub connecting users to Black wellness professionals, offering services that support mental, physical, and spiritual well-being. The organization’s mission is to improve the quality of life within the Black community by providing a convenient, comprehensive resource for wellness support.
